Screenverse Appoints Chang Gao as Chief Financial Officer

Screenverse, a leader in programmatic digital out-of-home (prDOOH) advertising, welcomes Chang Gao as the company’s first Chief Financial Officer.

2024 was a momentous year for Screenverse. Among other milestones, we secured a $10.5 million investment with Volition Capital, doubled our team of astronauts from 22 to 49, and surpassed 100,000 digital screens across our network portfolio. 

Today, we’re pleased to announce Chang Gao will be joining the executive team at Screenverse as Chief Financial Officer, a first for the company. Gao will oversee and expand Screenverse’s financial operations, aligning with our ambitious growth strategy.

Screenverse’s VP of People Operations and first employee, Laura Yepez, shares her thoughts on Chang joining the Executive Team:

“I am thrilled to welcome Chang Gao as our Chief Financial Officer. I have been a part of Screenverse since day one and am incredibly proud of the company we’ve created. Chang joins our team at a critical time. His vision will allow us to strengthen our operational foundation, fueling our continued growth and delivering excellence. 

We manage essential financial operations for our media partners and must maintain an extremely efficient workflow. As we continue to add media partners and expand our team, Chang will enable us to identify critical resources for maximum efficiency and agility”.

Chang brings over 15 years of experience driving financial and operational success at innovative, high-growth companies. His expertise includes building finance teams, scaling revenue by three to five times, and securing equity and debt funding. 

Most recently, he served as SVP of Finance and Operations at adMarketplace, a search advertising company, and was Director of FP&A at GroundTruth, where he played a pivotal role in scaling both organizations. His career includes key positions at Thomson Reuters, American Express, and UBS.

Chang has an MBA in corporate finance from NYU Stern School of Business and is a member of the Operators Guild, a global community of tech founders, operators, and innovators. A native of Massachusetts and a first-generation immigrant, Chang now resides in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife, Daisy, and their daughter, Gemma.

Madelin joined Screenverse in 2024 with a diverse marketing background, primarily working with agencies. She leads all marketing initiatives for Screenverse, including brand management, digital marketing, public relations, and more.
